By day he travels for tens of miles offshore a food hunt, at night he returns to the nest to care for the little ones. These rituals are followed every day of this long summer by the major beret, especially studied with a project that the University of Palermo in a Life project has been carrying out for a few years. The study is conducted in the protected marine area of the island of Linosa, Sicily, where there is one of the largest Mediterranean colonies, of about 10,000 pairs.
