LOVERS IN THE DARK

This short film is made in the style of a symbolic montage. It is a simple glimpse into a normal day of a boy, Turjo, as he struggles with the society, on the edge of being lost in a dystopia. His love drives him through his daily misery being the last string holding him up. This continuous conflict strains his character into a duality, as he plays masquerade with the society. He sometimes gets submerged in surrealistic dream drowned by the harsh reality, where everything is eternal and he finds his solace. Throughout the movie, the nature and its inanimate objects abstractly interact with each other, conveying the eternal message of love and hardship and their intertwined nature. The final touch in the movie is the introduction of a silent observer who observes the journey of Turjo and decript the society while coldly questioning our notions. The movie ends with Turjo vowing to carry on his struggle to break free of his shackles and be lost in paradise as a stranger to the society.
