Katie O’Grady’s first foray into producing was the critically acclaimed New York Times Critic’s Pick film Rid of Me, hand selected by Michael Moore for inclusion in his Traverse City Film Festival, and purchased by Showtime and Netflix following its festival and theatrical release. Ten years later, after producing several more features, 15 short films, a variety of PSAs, music videos & commercials, and teaching acting for more than a decade, Katie decided to try her hand at directing. She cut her teeth on commercials, with her first placing at an international competition, then moved quickly into short films, and is gearing up for her first feature later this year. Katie has also written several of the projects Alcove has produced, and is currently adapting a book into a feature screenplay. She is known and valued as a team player, and her abilities are highly regarded by everyone from first time clients she walks through the process to seasoned industry veterans with whom she collaborates.
