Yang Zimik studied Economics before deciding to pursue his passion for motion pictures by studying film direction at Whistling Woods International, Mumbai where he let his interests in art, literature and poetry inspire his experiments with the filmic medium. Since graduating he now spends his time watching, writing, making and understanding cinema. His singular hope in life is to make good films.
I wanted to make a film about films, and in doing so discovered both the beauty and ugliness of an industry that destroys dreams in reality in order to bring them to life on screen. This is an honest work about the lies we tell ourselves in the face of harsh truths.
