Exclusive Interview with Rachel Shenton
In 2016 Deaf-Led arts and film festival, Deafest approached Rachel to become their new Patron. Rachel Shenton is a well known actress who has appeared in Channel 4’s ‘Hollyoaks’ tv series and the American TV series ’Switched at Birth’ on the ABC network. We talked to Rachel about how she feels about being patron and about her passion for the Deaf Community.

Deaffest Premiere
I am a Filmmaker and also Media Officer at Zebra Uno Ltd, I hail from Wolverhampton base in West Midlands. have a huge passion for film and television, and enjoy reading film and television critiques. I also like getting involved in media related discussions with other filmmakers along with seeing their work on Vimeo and Youtube. I also attend festivals both nationally and internationally.
Jack's have been involved award winning Deaffest Music Video - 'I Believe' and Writer for Deaffest 2017 Promo.
In 2015 I made my first ever Documentary as a film director and writer with film called "This is I, Remember Me", A short 15 minute film drama produced by Neath Films and commissioned by the BSLBT, which was broadcast on The Community Channel and Film4 which is biggest achievement in my filming career.
