I'M (io sono)

"I AM (the film) is theatrical transposition of a work written by the boys of the parish of S. Giovanni Nuovo in Imola.

They have brought to the theater the themes of youthful care: the need for honesty, understanding, greater humanity, which seems frail in today's life where they prevail: falsehood, apathy and arrogance.

We find then:
- the unsatisfied ladies of the routine,
the elderly, who symbolize memory, and struggle to understand modern devices.
the arrogance interpreted by the frantic employer
false friends who talk, talk; but hands do not ask the other a simple one: "how are you?", triggering a conversation made of vanity and gossip.
Remedy for a better life? Aesthetic surgery.
We move to the television studios where the program "The Next Life" brings us to the forefront of the day, consulting trustees, opinionists ... now real MASTERS of our time.
ADVERTISING is part of the ongoing flow of false news, false images, falsehoods.
When friendship is not real, when talking about it becomes difficult, then the trivial speeches are made, it is obvious and the scene of K-Magazine is a simple "invention" to ban those sayings and proverbs.
The final scene repeats the BAR of the beginning. Like in the "Schnitzler's Girotondo", the protagonists find themselves in the same starting point, inconclusive in their banality.
Will the characters / boys achieve a more "human" dimension?
It's a first "spontaneous" work, the defects there are, but we really enjoyed it.
