India - full of gender stereotypes

Two girls are born in one family in India along with one boy. However, there is a lot of discrimination happening to the two girls when compared to the boy (may it be in studies, in living and in spending time, and in everything to be precise). Out of those two girls, the elder one is made to accept the responsibilities of a traditional Indian women, but the younger girl fights for her rights. The film shows the perspectives and fight of an Indian woman in an Indian society.

Director Biography - Praneetha Reddy, Nimisha Pandey

Sai Praneetha Mutyala has been a social activist in various issues regarding to women. Her fight for getting rights for women in India and elsewhere has been continuing since she was 16 years old. Now studying in USC, her aim is to create a fusion of technology and cinematic arts and build a future for youth to understand and stand for their and other rights.

I believe that being a woman does not mean that we are a weaker section. Men and women might be created biologically different, but they are equal and special in their own way. And one has no right to discriminate or limit their talent only till home and bearing children. They are not just a child bearing machine.
