Manuscript Across America
A few friends and I traveled across the country in the Spring of 2016 with a 1,000-foot-long scroll of paper collecting the written and spoken words of Americans. We spent time in 36 states and invited the public to share their thoughts about anything they were passionate about. The film chronicles our road trip as we interview a diverse cross-section of the population about anything from saving the environment to abolishing gun control.

First large-scale public viewing
A lover of words since their sounds started making sense to me, I've always been an active writer. I grew up outside of San Francisco, California and later studied Writing and Literature at Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado. I currently live In Nevada City, California where I recently decided to venture beyond my most practiced mediums (writing, music and photography) and try my hand at making a documentary. Manuscript Across America is my first film, but hopefully not my last!
I was called to take on this project due to a feeling that many of us may share - a concerned curiosity as to what the American people are really thinking and where the fate of this planet is heading. Manuscript Across America is my effort to create dialogue amongst the public about important issues that will shape our future.
