I began my career in Sales in 1992 after graduating as an
Electronics Engineer. In these four decades that I lived in
Bangalore I had the opportunity to watch numerous movies in
different languages which is not common in any other cities
other than Bangalore. I was one among the crazy audience who
would love to watch the film first day first show and be a part
of that sheer Euphoria and magic those great film personalities
brought to us on the silver screen. Maybe this influenced me to
some extent and I was not aware at that time that one day I
would also give a try on this wonderful craft. In 2008 I quit my
Job to chase my passion in Film making and joined a film school
in Bangalore and started to understand the grammar of film
making. I made a couple of short films and music video
collaborating with my friends who helped me further to enhance
my practical knowledge. As I was learning the craft I also took
to teaching as a Visiting faculty in two film schools in
Bangalore which helped me interact with the young and passionate
minds and learn along with them. In 2016 I did my post
graduation in Electronics Media to further understand how the
whole Entertainment industry is moving forward. Finally I was
able to get an opportunity to work as a Associate Director for a
Kannada film called Days of Borapura which released in April
2018. I wish to learn and share my knowledge with my students
and am a part of their story telling. I am currently
collaborating with passionate filmmakers and very soon direct my
first Feature film .My name is Thambidurai and I am 49 years
old.
