Director Biography - Kent Corley

Kent is a career professional photographer with an abiding love for music, photography, film and challenging themes. He graduated from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a BA in Communications and has continued work at the Duke Center for Documentary Studies. With two fine art shows and international publication under his belt he continues to push his own boundaries to create honest and revealing portraits in multiple mediums. He is also currently the host of Beggars Banquet radio show on community radio WHUP in Hillsborough, NC.

Director Statement

I made 'Chance' after several years of fascination with Chance Murray as an artist and unique character in the small town I live in. It was my first attempt at making a film solo from start to finish. For the final piece it was important for me to reveal the darkness and humor present in Chance's personality and work.
