I am a professional writer, meaning that perfect strangers actually paid me good money to write for them. I spent the better part of my adulthood doing just that: writing. My favorite byline was, Pay To the Order Of Jacki Moss.
I've been a good, old fashioned newspaper reporter, magazine writer, health and medical writer and editor, business and finance writer and editor, and basically the Swiss Army Knife of writing. If it was a paying gig and not porno, I'd write it.
When I retired, I decided to write what I wanted to write. I started with a couple of Southern Lit, cozy murder mysteries, then stepped out on a limb, uh, twig, and wrote The King's Cadillac.
I am genuine Southern, born and raised in the Deep South. I was born in Atlanta, and grew up in Alabama. I still have a mad on about that bastard Sherman.
I know my quirky characters first hand and claim some of them as kin. I have lived in and around Nashville for the last 25 years, absorbing the culture and its characters, so my writing is authentic.
