Ana is a Mexican filmmaker currently residing in Montreal, Canada, where she completed her BFA on Film Animation.
My current work revolves around the exploration and experimentation of traditional animation narratives. My main interests include giving a twist to traditional tropes in children stories and adding to it a varied representation of the LGBTQ+ community. I look to introduce ideas of tolerance and acceptance to all audiences, but especially young audiences. With these stories, I set out on an exploration of how this specific part of the community could be incorporated in already known stories, in an effort to normalize the idea to any kind of audience that will later pass it on to future generations.
