Follow The Lady in White

A prestigious art work “The Lady in White” is a moving exhibition created to inspire societies in a positive manner . She is a movement that leads movements that aspire to voice out issues of human inequality, violence on women and children, xenophobic activities, corruption and so on, hence the hashtag #FollowTheLadyInWhite. She is an optimistic symbol, a living sculpture created to be a voice of South Africans and beyond, to articulate the issues that influence our society and can represent any movement for better communities and great nations.

Director Biography - Ndiyathemba Modibedi

Ndiyathemba is an Actor/ filmmaker with a massive passion for storytelling, born in Port Elizabeth but he grew up in Pretoria since age 7.He is a young and vibrant creative filmmaker with an assertive work approach. He studied Multimedia studies at the University of South Africa (UNISA) for a year. Thereafter, he attained a National Diploma in Film & Television production at Tshwane University of Technology Drama and Film program, and later his B-tech degree in Film & TV production specializing in Directing IV, at the very institution. He was one of the National Film and Video Foundation of South Africa (NFVF) delegates to attend the 2016 Canadian International Documentary Film Festival (Hot Docs) in Toronto. A platform where I gained lots of experience in pitching for funds on one on one pitch sessions or micro-meetings, networking, marketing and film distribution at a global stage. A filmmaker with a passion for production and still keen to study further to a post-graduate level. Ndiyathemba has written, produced and directed various productions as a student including independent low-budget films. His Filmography includes films like “Hustlers”(2013) which he wrote, directed & Co-Produced, Short documentary “In need of a secret”(2013); as a 1st Assistant director ,short film ”Memeza”(2015) as Co-Producer, He then Produced an edu- short film “Heiru”(2015) in partnership with Gauteng Film Commission(GFC),Gauteng Provincial government, South African Heritage Resources Agency Internship preferably in the discipline of Directing, if not in film and television producing as an alternative. (SAHRA) and Cradle of Humankind Maropeng. His recent work was directing a bio-documentary of legendary poet Mak Manaka titled “In time with Mak Manaka” (2016) , as well as his award winning student short film “SOL” (2016) for Best Director and Best Picture. “Gang of Ashes” (2017) adds to that list and these films are both to screen in local and international film festivals between 2017/18.
