Arjun

“Arjun” is a unique take on the need of a Clean India. Relating highly competitive sporting events such as Olympics and our inability to win at such events despite boasting of such a huge population and youth forming a major part of it, to an unclean India, it calls for a deeper analysis establishing a certain relation between them. The better fitness and stamina the youth of a country possess, the better its tally of medals, as simple as that. What we eat, drink and breathe is what makes or destroys us. Our water, soil and air are all so polluted that one is not able to give his hundred percent and our children and youth lose their agility, stamina and competence and lack behind. This takes away what can be ours rightfully, Olympic medals for a case. Arjun, the main character, is a kid and an aspiring athlete practicing hard along with his coach consistently. While going through his rigor, he witnesses an unclean environment all around him. He feels uneasiness not sure of the reason though he and his coach both aim to win at all costs also giving their all for it. Further, while witnessing pollution in all forms, water, soil and air; he can see a medal at every unclean place. When he tells his coach about it, he supports his observation that the medals are indeed going to the garbage. This unclean environment is hiding our medals beneath it. However, the coach has his hope intact since the country’s youth just like his own ward Arjun are aware of the scenario. He resolves to make the dreams of Clean India come true by the combined effort of all, making India proud, believing in the youth aware of their responsibilities towards it. Aim for a Clean India and we will have a respectable tally of medals at Olympics.
