Daniel Joseph Carriere was born in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. He attended the Film program at Confederation in Thunder Bay. In 1995 he won first prize at the 2nd Annual Cinefest Videomaker's Competition for his film 'Convergence'. Daniel completed a number of other sci-fi shorts before moving to southern Ontario in 2006. Since then he has worked on a several documentaries and city funded productions. In 2017 his film 'Smart Phone' was an official selection at the Toronto Independent Film Festival. Daniel continues to strive for originality and creativity in his work as a filmmaker.
