Writer Biography - Kourtney Hawkins

Kourtney Hawkins is an Oklahoma Native. She is a graduate of Millwood High School and has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Television and Film Production from the University of Central Oklahoma. Ms. Hawkins has a passion for the arts. After graduation from college, Kourtney worked as a camera operator in the KWTV-9 studios. In 2005, she moved to Los Angeles, California where she resided for 5 years.

She has worked in the front office for Overbrook Entertainment and Jerry Bruckheimer Films. Ms. Hawkins has also worked on a few student films including, Before & After and How My Dad killed Dracula. She also has experience in play production. Ms. Hawkins, has worked with J. Lamont, as backstage wrangler on the stage play entitled to Shame. She was also backstage director for Pieces of Her written by LaCharles Purvey. In 2010, Ms. Hawkins founded Sassy 1 Entertainment, a company that specializes in film and play production.
