Director Biography - John Michael Jalonen

John Michael Jalonen is an actor, writer, and director from Virginia, living in New York City.

As an actor, John Michael has appeared in television shows like "Legends and Lies" and "Mysteries At The Museum", and in the television film "Killing Kennedy" with Rob Lowe. He has been seen on stage at Virginia Stage Company, Virginia Shakespeare Festival, Manhattan Repertory Theatre, and The Secret Theatre. John Michael also appears in the upcoming web series, "Going Dark".

As a writer, John Michael's short plays have been performed Off-Off Broadway at Manhattan Repertory Theatre, The Secret Theatre, and The Players Theatre.

John Michael is a first time director with the short film, "The Birthday Boy".

I am so proud of my short film, "The Birthday Boy", and love that for $35 and help from some wonderful friends and collaborators, I was able to take a strange idea and a series of images floating around in my head, and turn it all into a piece of film I can share with others.
