Broadly skilled entertainer, Chris has a diverse set of experiences ranging from live theatre, film to emcee, debate moderator and auctioneering. Chris’ most recent stage performance was with the Pittsburg Community Theatre’s production of Moon over Buffalo where he played the sarcastic, yet lovesick Paul Singer. Among other roles, Chris particularly favors his performance as Bob Cratchit in the Poison Apple Production of A Christmas Carol.
In the past year Chris has performed in several short films, including the role of Sam in the award-winning Poetry Wars. Most recently Chris was given the challenge of playing the emotionally struggling pre-transitioning woman Charles/Charlene in the dramedy, Transfixed
Chris is currently working on two funded television pilots, Afterwards (a post-apocalyptic western thriller) as the eccentric arms dealer Addison Dulce, and Caddie Tales (a comedy) as the philandering movie star, Duncan Nelson.
Chris also is a semi-professional DJ. He has performed in many events over the past several years. He has emceed talent shows, interviewed performers and has even auctioneered charity events. Trained in academic philosophy, Chris has also moderated many debates on topics as complicated as bio-ethics.
Chris works professionally as a technology vice president in the financial services industry and part-time as a philosophy professor at the college level. Chris has also found time to study filmmaking and has shown his films in multiple film festivals and was nominated for Best Director for his film Good Intentions. His plans are to use the medium of film to tell stories that communicate his passion for philosophy.
Chris is always open to new experiences and looks forward to meeting new people with big ideas!
This was a student film produced for a film class at Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, CA under the supervision of professor/filmmaker Rob Richert. It was wonderful and challenging to write and shoot this film. I've always been fascinated by the unknown impact of our actions. And to convey the idea of counter-factual states of affairs being triggered by the free acts of people is not as easy to do as I first thought. I'm very proud of the effort given by my cast and crew and hope you enjoy it!
