Zaman

Seyyed Shiri, known as Zaman, is a Pakistani immigrant. After the martyrdom of his father
in the Pakistan Kashmir War, moved to Iran with his family. He got married in Iran and formed his own family.
He worked many different jobs to provide for his family. however, the regulations that exist for the immigrants doesn’t allow him to work in many fields.
This documentary is about the last days of his life living in Iran.

Zaman is a story about Seyyed Shiri, a Pakistani immigrant in Iran, who without permanent residency, struggles to find a fixed job that can support his family.

A documentary about a one-of-a-kind Pakastani immigrant called Zaman, who has led a hard life, but still manages to keep a positive attitude.

Director Biography - Reza Shokrani

Reza Shokrani is a Iranian-American filmmaker. His passion in film making began at age 10.
He has attended numerous classes regarding film making, one of which was from Mehrdad Oskoui whom is world famous and winner of more than ninety International film festivals and best Iranian documentary filmmaker.
Reza Shokrani made more than seven short films by age fourteen. Two of which was broadcasted on Iranian public television. His latest work is “Zaman” documentary. Zaman is a story of a Pakistani immigrant who moved to Iran. It is about the challenges which he faces living in Iran.
In the past two months in which this documentary has been released, Zaman documentary has been nominated in seven international film festivals.
Production and editing of the film is done by Reza Shokrani. He is a true perfectionist and took him close to two years to complete this documentary.
