Mo Mie
The“Mo Mie”is a kind of mascot which shape is that a warrior embrace the “Dragon Ball” and the meaning is that the guardian of the sun and embrace hope. It is most popular long in the Chinese Zhuang of Baise city and the origin of “Mo Mie” is the focus of this animation short film.
The dragon Tu'er guarding the fire of the sun, like a man in a trance, the fire came to the earth, then the sky is no longer bright and earth into the darkness. Follow the guidelines provided by the dragon Tu'er, the Local king named Bo Wang decided to pursue the fire alone and the way he tread is full of hardships and dangers. Finally, with the help of dragon Tu'er, Bo Wang found the fire and then he brought it to the sky with himself. The world has returned to light, and Bo Wang has left his people forever. For commemorate the heroic deeds people made the “Mo Mie” to many people.
This short film show content by the paper-cut and shadow play and it combines traditional Chinese folk elements and animation, reflecting the thick Chinese flavor.
