Perfidies

A desperate Mexican-American tech worker, on the verge of losing his job and his family, submits to his company’s cutting-edge “memory enhancement” nuero-therapy. But when it goes off the rails, he’s forced to re-live his painful memories growing up in an immigrant family without his mother. If he can survive the “therapy”, and expose his company’s hidden agenda, his future might not be as tragic as his past.

It's a story at the edge of the Twilight Zone with an imagined technology, primal emotions, an unexpected twist, and a warning for the future. (R)
