Director Statement

I am a world citizen, every citizen is my kith and kin
Ones Bad and good weren't defined by others.
- Kaniyan Poonkundran ( 1000 BC )

Hostage is a contemporary portrayal of above quote from the literature "Pura Nanooru" articulated by the poet "Kaniyan Poonkundran" written 3000 years ago which was mentioned by the late His Excellency Indian president Mr Abdul Kalam on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee year of the European union in front of the honourable members of the European Parliament.

The Story of hostage is driven by these two lines and the script has born to suit the contemporary social living, which has clearly brought the world citizens too close, in spite of distance.

The second line "Ones Bad and good weren't defined by others", is the vital line of Hostage in a clear entertainment package without over boring original screenplay which I am sure to keep the viewers at their edge till the last second of the film and through out.

The film has a perfect balance between audio and visual story telling both artistically and technically.

Please make sure to ask for a 5.1 surround copy if your venue is compatible for 5.1 surround audio. We are sure it will give the best of viewing experiences.

Thanks,
Maruthi Nambi
