Writer Biography - Michael Mandaville

He has written the mystery novel "A Cold Death" as well as the "Stealing Thunder" action thriller trilogy. In addition, he has written almost a dozen scripts for hire or had optioned. He works as a line producer on “Taken”, "Taken 2" and “Taken 3” with Liam Neeson “Havoc” with Anne Hathaway, “The Kiss”, "American History X", "Blood and Wine". He has directed commercials, shorts, a documentary and industrial films. He also worked on “Manahi” an Arabic language comedy which was the first film shown in Saudi Arabia in 35 years. Michael also worked on TV pilots, Indie films, Interactive projects, etc., He is a bondable line producer and is now studying Visual FX software and working more with VFX companies to implement methods to reduce costs for feature film production in this challenging economy. He follows in the film industry in the steps of his aunt, Molly Mandaville, who worked as Darryl Zanuck's assistant for 35 years. Michael has written many scripts with options and scripts for hire to his credit. Michael finished his first Tom Clancy technothriller novel, “Stealing Thunder”, and a mystery novel, “A Cold Death.” He has three more novels and several plays in process which usually keeps him out of trouble. He received a Master's Degree from USC in their prestigious Professional Writing Program, attended the BA program for Columbia College and received a BA from UCSB in Philosophy.
