We Folk - Vado in Abruzzo

WE FOLK is a video story, halfway between documentray and fiction, written and directed by Serena Del Prete and Massimo Moca.
A travel series about places, stories and landscapes of the mountainous Abruzzo region on Italy. A personal journey about the two original characters played by Valentina Beotti and Emiliano Liberali. The first one an actress herself, the latter a travelling folk singer named Gipsy Rufina.
In each episode the characters discover and introduce to us the landscape, mountains, valleys, rivers and ancient villages. From sacred to western, throughout their journey they are accompanied by shepherds, horses, donkeys, housewives and monks.
The web series is part of the project “Vie e Cammini della Transumanza – Patrimonio dell'Umanità” (Transhumance's routes and paths – A human heritage) by Gal Gran Sasso Velino aiming at raising awareness of the value and beauty of local routes, such as those of the transhumance, trodden amongst others by Saint Francis of Assisi and Pope Celestine V, as well as Gran Tour travelers of the nineteenth century.
