Brad grew up in rural Chapin, South Carolina, where he garnered an interest in the arts at an early age. After studying Drama and Acting at the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities he attended the University of Utah where he achieved a dual BA in Theater and Film.
The idea of "Suburban Bliss" came about as indirectly as a story like this could. I set out to make a film that covered LGBTQIA topics, while in turn having the kind of mainstream fun that people are accustomed to. What came from that is an amalgamation of my own cynicism paired with perceived societal norms found in America's many Suburbs. Who hasn't heard of a spouse killing and disposing of another? No one, it's a trope as old as time. I took that notion and twisted it on its head. What if the "Stepford Housewife" took a sudden turn? What if she were hiding her true nature for years and finally came up with a way out of her suburban nightmare? These are the questions I asked myself while writing this fun and out there short.
