Yen is a self-taught visual artist and film maker. She studied multimedia design in pursuit of becoming an artist, a dream she has had since a young age.
After graduation, while working at a TV station, Yen realized she had strong passion for film, one that equaled her passion for animation. She re-watched every movie that she had ever seen again and again, but this time in different eyes, the eyes of cinematography. Since then, cinematography has become the light that has brought color to her life. Yen is enlightened that Cinematography & Film is not only simply visual story telling but also her philosophy. During her nine-years working in media, she has worked in many positions in video & film production, from PA to film editor, Camera man and eventually, Director. She is especially passionate about directing art short film and documentary film. Her big dream is to make feature film in future. But her passion continues to enforce her perseverance in actualizing her dream.
