Experiencing Interruptions?

Svanire

Svanire is a short animation about the back and forth recovery from a suicide attempt. Mental health is a battle and to find yourself and to recover is a whole new road. The film explores the anguish and exhaustion through colour and fast paced durations of both abstract and formal drawings. The film is a personal story of the artist’s recovery and advocacy for bipolar disorder and suicide stigma. It represents the non-linear process it takes to find oneself through the waves of pain and guilt, to the calm seas of forgiveness and healing. It takes you through the artist’s personal mental struggles and journey of fading in and out over and over again. In Italian, Svanire means, to fade.
