Director Biography - Peter Stephanou

Peter Stephanou is a contemporary and dynamic director. His current documentary 'Moutallos' is his first Greek language film made with only €630, solely funded by the Department of Education.
As an artist and son of a refugee displaced by war in his native Cyprus Peter’s work aims to build foundations on creating an informed and inquisitive younger generation, whom he hopes will build on this base as they become adults. With 10 years experience in the film industry Peter aims to continue directing work that inspires and promotes individuals into action for positive change. Peter's previous film ‘WhyTalkFeminism?’, a film centred on gender equality aimed at educating young audiences won the audience award at the Paphos International Film Festival.
