The First Annual 11 Eleven TV & Film Awards is ceremony dedicated to furthering the reach of filmmakers who have found previous success in other notable film festivals committed to African American storytelling. After reading IndieWire’s report that 40% of films produced never experience a theatrical release, creator and launched by Kamau Talbott to become the the indie creator’s festival.

Over the span of four days, 11 Eleven TV & Film Awards will screen 20 films at The Miracle Theater nestled in the heart of Inglewood, California and The Plaza Theatre in Atlanta, GA. In an effort to support the spirit and encourage the efforts of content creators everywhere, this festival will give filmmakers an additional opportunity to have their films screened in theaters and viewed digitally to maximize audience reach.

Committed to furthering the excellence of urban focused art and engage the creative community, 11 Eleven TV & Film Awards will accept submissions from African American filmmakers who have either been nominated or won in the following categories from the following film festivals in the past two years:

Winners from each category will receive the following:

Each submitted project will receive an 11 Eleven Awards acceptance certificate and an account with the 11 Eleven Network to screen their film.

Winners from each category will receive scheduled viewing times, marketing assistance for live viewings from festival partners, live panel interaction and viewing “watch parties” with Q/A afterwards with filmmakers, cast and crew.

Winners in each category will receive an 11 Eleven TV & Film award trophy and full streaming platform services for their winning content, including digital download capability.

- 1 Theatrical marketing screening at either The Miracle Inglewood, Inglewood, CA or the Plaza Theater, Atlanta GA. Includes a media curated screening, filmmaker and cast panel discussion that is filmed and live streamed.
- Digital Marketing budget of $1000
- Digital placement on Apple TV+, Amazon Prime Video, Google Play Store, VUDU, Tubi TV, 11 Eleven Network

Submission guidelines

Submission dates: October 7, 2021 - September 24, 2021
Submission fees: 35.00

Feature films - over 30 minutes and under 120 minutes
Short films - 10 - 30 minutes
11 Eleven will accept submissions from films with previous theatrical distribution or streaming.
Films MUST have been nominated or the recipient of an award from PAFF, ABFF, BronzeLens or Urban World FIlm Festivals.
Films can be any genre - drama, comedy, horror, animation, or science fiction.
Films must be in this format - DCP, BlueRay, or online link
Films must be in English or have English subtitles.
