My name is Lea Esmaili, I'm 23 and I'm a photographer and director. I've always been involved in the arts, and it was when I was 14/15 that I fell in love with cinema when I started to create my own culture. Ever since, I've dreamed of creating images and transmitting emotion.
I'm very inspired by the world of dance, the movement of the body linked to music, by people, the city, I'm generally very observant of others.
The history of my family, political refugees from Iran, has given me an enormous richness and an openness of mind and culture that has unconsciously given me a great deal of inspiration.
I like to define my work as an outlet for the ordinary, pushing the boundaries of creation and reality.
