Hollywood Comedy Shorts will highlight short comedy, web series, TV episodic, Comedy Screenplays, and Dark Comedy shorts with the goal of screening the best comedic content from around the world for a Hollywood industry audience! The festival will take place at the LOOK Cinemas in Glendale and streaming on Bitpix for three days of screenings, filmmaker Q and A's, panels, parties, and the awards party!

Top categories will be awarded prizes valued at over $20,000. Sponsors include Kodak, E Tech Rentals, Color Space Finishing, and bitpix

Rules & Terms

Films and screenplays submitted to the Festival will be considered for competitive categories. By submitting your film for consideration for the 8th Annual Hollywood Comedy Shorts Film Festival, you agree for Hollywood Comedy Shorts to screen your short film if it is an official selection for this year's festival and are obligated to your commitment.*Note we screen exclusively on DCP with Simple DCP.

    Very well organized festival. Really, one of the best experiences we've had on the festival circuit. Communication was clear, never spammy. The filmmaker mixer as a blast. And the line-up of films was really top-notch. It was an honor to be included.

    I'm very honored to have my short screenplay "The Happiest Moment" chosen as an official selection in the festival. Unfortunately, I was not able to attend this time, but hopefully I can be there for the next one. If you have a comedy short, I highly suggest giving this contest a try.

    What a wonderful time at the Hollywood Comedy Shorts Film Festival! Thank you Daniel and Theo for hosting our LA Premiere! The quality of films we got a chance to see was impressive and inspiring- especially in the RomCom block where our film Puppet Seizure screened. The staff did a fantastic job with the entire weekend, starting with the Filmmaker's Welcome Party on Friday where we got a chance to meet our fellow filmmakers and network. Thank you for everything! We will definitely be back.
