Director Statement

Walk and Talk is a narrative short film made with 16mm Black and White film stock. As much as it is a scripted narrative based off lived experience, it is also an experiment with analog filmmaking and a learning process for everyone involved. The Negative film was hand processed in Vancouver, Canada by the director as she learns to mix the chemistry, repurpose old machinery and develop the film herself. As well as the Digital edit you see above, she is editing the original Negatives to create contact prints of the film in 16mm. A final print will be finished in the Fall of 2025 and early tests show that any fogging and high noise levels are gone with the print. Inanna has the abilitie to project the16mm film so please reach out for a print to show the film in its intended medium.
