We are looking for a First Draft Short Film, 3-10 minutes in length celebrating specific locations on the California, Oregon, and Washington coastline to join an art festival dedicated to preserving and celebrating our beautiful West Coast.

The project is about connecting to place, so this could be drama, documentary, nature film, etc. We are looking for work in its first draft form that gives us a sense of what a particular place is like.

For The Seventh Generation is a truly amazing art experience, in pursuit of creating art and community around specific beaches along the West Coast. The Elisabeth Jones Art Center in Portland, OR is creating a 2ft x 1 mile pano-mural which includes paintings done by local artists for every 1,320 miles of the California, Oregon and Washington coastline. A culminating festival will occur alongside the 7th Gen First Draft Film Festival and spoken word readings in Lincoln City, Oregon in July 2021. This festival will be open to the public, but we will also have streaming capabilities so that participants not in Oregon can still attend.
