Tasveer is excited to launch its first-ever South Asian-focused Tasveer Film Market (TFM), Oct 15-17th, 2024. This inaugural edition will be done along with the 19th edition of the Tasveer Film Festival, a widely recognized South Asian film festival in North America and the only Oscar-qualifying South Asian film festival. The Tasveer Film Market aims to provide a platform where the global South Asian film industry can find genuine partnership and financing opportunities for projects in development.

TFM will present the Co-Production Market Pitch (CPM Pitch), one of its main verticals.

TFM '24's Co-Production Market Pitch is open to all genres and formats, intended for theatrical distribution, television broadcasting, and digital streaming. The market aims to facilitate, encourage, and accelerate new business opportunities for the development and creation of new content on an international level.

TFM will select about 16 projects from around the world, presented in Film, Documentary, and TV categories, which will receive some guaranteed funding.

Each category will host a specific international content market, featuring tailored activities designed to find financial and producing partners through international co-production deals. The Co-Production Market Pitching is divided into the following slates:

---Narrative Film (for fiction feature-length films intended for theatrical release or digital streaming)
---Tasveer Film Fund will be added in this section.

---Documentary (for documentary feature-length films intended for theatrical release or digital streaming, plus docuseries intended for TV and digital streaming)

---TV (for episodic content intended for television broadcasting and digital streaming)

Purpose:

Our purpose is to provide visibility and opportunities for all South Asian Diaspora works and internationally appealing projects. These projects, which span various genres and formats and hold great artistic value, will be presented at the Tasveer Film Market. We support the freedom of artistic expression and aim to represent cultural diversity and cooperation. Our selection will include projects in all categories, especially those suitable for co-production, to represent as many independent and diverse perspectives as possible.
