RAYD8 Film Festival Submission Rules & Guidelines
1. Rights & Ownership
All submissions must be the original work of the applicant, and the applicant must hold
all necessary rights, including music, footage, and likeness rights.
2. Submission Deadlines
• Early Bird Deadline: May 31, 2026
• Regular Deadline: July 31, 2026
• Late Deadline: August 31, 2026
3. Submission Platform
All entries must be submitted electronically via FilmFreeway. Physical submissions
(DVDs, drives, etc.) will not be accepted.
4. Language Requirements
All non-English films must include English subtitles.
5. Completion Requirement
Only completed films will be considered. Rough cuts or works-in-progress are not eligible unless otherwise specified.
6. Screening Format
Accepted films must be available in a high-resolution digital format suitable for
screening.
7. Multiple Submissions
Filmmakers may submit multiple entries; each entry requires a separate submission and
fee.
8. Selection Process
All submissions are reviewed by the RAYD8 programming team. Official selections will be notified prior to the festival.
9. Usage & Promotion Rights
By submitting, filmmakers grant RAYD8 Film Festival the right to use clips, stills, and
promotional materials for marketing and promotional purposes.
10. Distribution Opportunity
Select films may be considered for distribution through RAYD8 TV, providing
additional exposure beyond the festival.
11. No Refund Policy
Submission fees are non-refundable.

You must include the following with your FilmFreeway submission:
• Proof of current student status (valid student ID or equivalent documentation)
