Junto con FDCLA Norte, el festival Corpus Christi destacará el mejor contenido latino y latinoamericano internacional. Estos festivales se esfuerzan por exhibir y elevar a los cineastas latinos talentosos de todo el mundo, brindando una plataforma para obras innovadoras, originales y que invitan a la reflexión que son 'por', 'sobre' y 'para' la comunidad latina.

FDCLA trasciende los límites de un mero festival de cine; es una celebración cultural inmersiva que refleja nuestra identidad colectiva. En un mundo donde la identidad social sigue siendo un punto focal, se vuelve crucial informar a la sociedad sobre nuestras valiosas contribuciones. FDCLA se esfuerza por romper los estereotipos y retratar nuestra identidad de manera positiva y poderosa.

A través del amor y una profunda celebración de nuestra rica cultura, nuestro objetivo es unir a las personas a través del poderoso medio del cine, que consideramos la forma de arte más elevada. Al ser parte del comité ejecutivo, el cine siempre será parte intrínseca de nuestras vidas.

Festival De Cine Latino Americano was formed in 2015 due to the need for more representation of Latin American culture in film festivals. 2016 was our official launch.

Festival De Cine Latino Americano Corpus Christi" is a newly formed branch of FDCLA Texas. In cooperation with the Corpus Christi Film Commission and Texas A&M Corpus Christi, we open this new festival in 2024.

Alongside FDCLA Norte, the Corpus Christi festival will highlight the finest international Latino and Latin American content. These festivals strive to exhibit and uplift talented Latino filmmakers worldwide, providing a platform for innovative, original, and thought-provoking works that are 'by,' 'about,' and 'for' the Latino community.

FDCLA transcends the boundaries of a mere film festival; it is an immersive cultural celebration that reflects our collective identity. In a world where social identity remains a focal point, it becomes crucial to enlighten society about our invaluable contributions. FDCLA strives to shatter stereotypes and portray our identity positively and empoweringly.

Through love and a profound celebration of our rich culture, we aim to unite people through the powerful medium of film, which we consider the highest art form. Being part of the executive committee, film will always be an intrinsic part of our lives.

We take immense pride in our familial roots and will forever champion positive transformations. FDCLA will continue to maintain its deep connection to the community and its unwavering passion for the world of cinema.

Esta es una convocatoria oficial para presentaciones al FDCLA Corpus Christi, que se llevará a cabo en persona del 5 al 7 de enero de 2024, en Corpus Christi, Tx. Buscamos proyectos innovadores, originales, que se identifiquen con la comunidad latina y latinoamericana. Toda obra sometida al festival debe ser nueva, o sea, no puede haber sido antes exhibida por televisión o en el cine. Además, no debe estar disponible en línea.

(a) Todo proyecto recibido será evaluado por un comité seleccionador. Éste tendrá la responsabilidad de elegir los proyectos que se programarán los tres días del festival. FDCLA-CC no paga por la exhibición de proyectos. FDCLA-Norte se reserva el derecho de exhibir más de una vez a los proyectos seleccionados durante las fechas del festival.

(b) La trama de su filme debe tratar temas latinos y / o latinoamericanos. Por lo menos 1 miembro principal del equipo de producción (productor, director, escritor) deberá ser de origen latino/hispano/latinoamericano. Cualquier largometraje o cortometraje en español o portugués deberá contar con subtítulos en inglés, y cualquier obra en inglés debe contar con subtítulos en español. En el caso de una obra en idioma indígena, el cineasta debe proveer subtítulos en español y /o inglés. No se aceptarán obras incompletas. No se aceptarán obras después de la fecha límite.

(c) No se requiere su asistencia al festival para que su obra sea exhibida.

(d) Como cineasta, usted se hace responsable por obtener cualquier derecho, licencia, permiso y / o papeleo necesario para presentar su obra al festival. El FDCLA-CC no se hace responsable por cualquier demanda, queja, o violación de derechos reservados o créditos relacionado a su obra.

(e) SOLO SE ACEPTARÁN OBRAS A TRAVÉS DE ESTE SITIO WEB: FILMFREEWAY.COM
Puesto que el comité recibe una gran cantidad de obras a través de FilmFreeway, no podremos responder a sus preguntas antes de la selección final. En el caso de que su obra sea seleccionada, se le notificará de inmediato via correo electrónico. El mensaje contendrá indicaciones para el envío de su KIT DE PRENSA y COPIA DE EXHIBICIÓN.

(f) FDCLA-CC no tiene la capacidad de reembolsar ningún monto cobrado por el sometimiento de su obra. FDCLA-CC se reserva el derecho a descalificar cualquier obra enviada, sea porque ésta se envíe después de la fecha límite, no sea elegible, no esté completa, cambio de estatus y / o falta de permisos, además de otros posibles motivos.

This is an official call for submissions to the FDCLA Corpus Christi, which will be held in person on January 5-7, 2024, in Corpus Christi, Tx. We seek innovative, original projects identified with the Latino and/or Latin American community. All films submitted for consideration must be new; they cannot have been featured on television or in theaters. They must not be available online.

(a) All entries will be pre-screened for eligibility by a selection committee. However, not all entries will be scheduled.

(b) Entrants are responsible for obtaining any necessary licenses, royalties, release forms, clearances, and permits necessary to present their work. FDCLA-CC is not responsible for any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, or royalty infringement related to the work.

(c) Films must be in Spanish or Portuguese with English subtitles or in English with Spanish subtitles. If using an Indigenous language, subtitles in English must be provided. The plot must be Latino-themed, and/or at least one principal filmmaker (producer, writer, director) must be Latino/Hispanic/Latin American. Films must have be completed. No incomplete or works in progress will be accepted.

(d) ONLY submissions via FilmFreeway will be accepted. No late submissions past the late deadline will be accepted.

(e) A filmmaker is not required to attend the festival for their work to be accepted. If your film is accepted to the festival, we will notify you via email with instructions for press materials and exhibition copies.

(f) FDCLA-CC does not have the capacity to reimburse any fees associated with the submission process. FDCLA-CC reserves the right to disqualify a submission, without refund of any kind, for any number of reasons, including a film's change of eligibility status post-submission. Short Films are films 30 minutes or less.
