Yorick and the Temple of the Eldritch Rats
Yorick (as in "Alas, poor"), intrepid skull and genius inventor, struck off on his own after experiencing job dissatisfaction at the Globe Theatre. Building a crew of sentient mechanisms, outfitting a technologically illogical ship (the "Golden Hind-er") and attracting some very magical Eldritch Rats, he sails the seas of the Reasonable Facsimile of Earth with this stalwart band. Based on Season Two of the web series "22 Bones" this film chronicles their search for the origins of the rats on a mysterious island. Filmed in astounding FourToThreeVision (for that vintage look!), this animated comedy/parody is quirky, off-center and fun.

Best Animation, 10-20 min, Summer 2020
I have at various times in my life been an artist, musician, writer, educator, history and vintage film buff, puppet maker and children's theatre director, finally tying them all together with stop-motion and mixed-media animation. "Rusty Bolt Theatre" and "Seat of the Pants Film Lab" are basically one-person, no-budget endeavours in which I wear all of the hats.
