He is a recipient of the Reva Shiner award from the Bloomington Playwrights Project for his full-length play, Tobacco Legacy. His science fiction play, Espresso Anyone?, was published in Expose Magazine and became a short film, then an official selection of the 2013 Unity Film Festival in Denver.

His experimental short, Oblivion, was a selection of the Austin Spotlight Film Festival in 2018. His comedy script, Man vs. Turtle, earned laurels as selections of the Atlanta Comedy Film Festival and of the Lake Charles Film Festival, while his science fiction script, The Air Factory, won the screenplay competition at the 2018 Tulsa American Film Festival.
