Turin Underground Distribution is born.

The 11th Torino Underground Cinefest will be in partnership with Sooner.de and it aims to distribute films.

Sooner.de is the German platform for auteur and independent films, award-winning documentaries at major festivals and new series.

Torino Underground Distribution is an opportunity for filmmakers to take their work to the next level. It is the real opportunity to distribute your film on Sooner.de and consequently on Amazon Germany and Amazon Great Britain.

On Sooner.de there is all the best of great independent cinema from: Achtung Berlin, DOK Leipzig, Diagonale, FILMFESTIVAL MAX OPHÜLS PREIS, MEC film, RAPID EYES MOVIES, SWISS films, Kinoherz, Film Academy Baden-Württemberg, Märchenfilme, alles Kino, etc...

The selected films will be presented at Sooner.de during the 11th edition of the Turin festival at the end of September 2024 with the possibility of being acquired and distributed.

Welcome back to the 11th edition!

For its 11th edition, the festival event will last for ten days, to offer more time for insights with the authors.

TUC_11 will be held in a very important location for the Turin “Cinema” universe, which is located in the heart of the city, at the marvelous Cinema Baretti.

Cash prizes are awarded for the best feature film, best short film and best documentary. Also, special awards will be assigned to: best director, best actor, best actress, best cinematographer, best editor and best sound designer. It there will be an audience award and mentions assigned by our media partners.

The festival counts on the help of media-partnerships and cultural partners in the area.

IMPORTANT: FOR SALES AND VARIOUS CATALOGUES: WE DO NOT EXPECT THE PAYMENT OF ANY SCREENING FEE!

Rules & Terms

Nine films categories can be submitted to the Festival:

-Short films: films with a running time from 1 to 59 minutes;
-Feature films: films with a running time of 60 minutes or more;
-Documentary: documentaries with a running time from 1 to 120 minutes;
-Horror film: from 1-180 minutes;
-Experimental Film: Section dedicated to experimental film and video art max 40'
-Italian Showcase: a section dedicated exclusively to Italian films of all genres. Duration between 1 and 120 minutes.
-Insane FilmClub: A new, insane section, aimed at fiction and documentary feature films of any genre. Works with a maximum duration of 210' are accepted.
-Animation: films with a running time from 1 to 59 minutes;
-Slow (Ambient) content: The genre is popular as a calming alternative soundscape that people love to work, study, relax, meditate, chill, and even fall asleep to. Slow content can range from footage of waves crashing, a bike ride, a train ride, a crackling fireplace, aerial drone shots over a forest, nighttime sky-scapes, a scenic nature tour with relaxing music, or an infinite number of possibilities - with relaxing music being key (Max 90 mins)

11th TORINO UNDERGROUND CINEFEST 2024 submission will be possible from October 2023 to July 2024.

Projects submitted must be the original work of the participant, not ended before January 1-2019.

All films in any different language from English must necessarily be subtitled, in English. An exception will be admitted for films in Italian or Spanish, which don't need to be subtitled.

It is possible to submit more than one project, but each project requires the submission fee.

By submitting the film to 11th TUC 2024 you confirm to own the rights of the film.

All films selected will be played in a cinema hall in Turin, during a public event.

11th TUC 2024 reserves the right to make any necessary changes to the final event.

Rates for submission are not refundable.
