My name is Taylor Thomson, and I'm a 23-year-old Canberra-based filmmaker looking to break into the film industry. I have a strong passion for stories that are both engaging and meaningful. I have a deep love for all genres, but horror will always be my first love.

My primary interests are in writing and directing, but the whole filmmaking process is fascinating to me.

I'm excited to see what possibilities are opened up by new filmmaking techniques and technologies. It's an exciting time to be a filmmaker.

I'm proud of all I have accomplished so far. Over my studies I have worked in many short films, having won a High Commendation award from the Focus on Ability film festival for a film I produced called "My Own Two Feet".

Speak to Me is an important film for me. Not only because it is my first foray into horror as a film student, but because its message is one that deeply resonates with me.

I was highly inspired by the work of Ari Aster when writing this script. I found the deconstruction of familial bonds a fascinating theme to explore through horror.

I am proud to have made Speak to Me as part my course at AIE Film School. My team were wonderful and this film will always hold a special place in my heart.
