A documentary series that explores various aspects of the women’s liberation movement in Uganda, through the voices of four extraordinary women from different generations who have contributed to this evolution, namely: Rhoda Kalema (a pioneer and leader of the Uganda Women’s Movement), Dr. Tadria Kabushenga Mary Hilda (a renowned passionate feminist and gender equality advocate for at least 50 years), Sarah Mukasa (a Pan-Africanist feminist with over 15 years’ experience in leadership and management) and Twasiima P. Bigirwa (an Afro-feminist writer and lawyer, whose work is premised on shifting public perceptions and challenging structural limitations to minoritized people). The series highlights 5 short parts under the themes: Re-birth ,Re-imagination, Springs of Inspiration, Our African Feminism ,Her-story & The Future.

We made this film to honor & celebrate these Ugandan women who have fought and continue the fight for women's rights. We also want to teach the younger generation the real authentic story behind feminism & the feminist movement.
