Edgy, profitable, and full of heart: that's my motto.
Rafael Peixoto is an award-winner writer, director, and producer with 25 years of activity in advertising, arts, and the entertainment industry. He has four original series sold to major Brazilian production companies and was commissioned to write three feature scripts, two of them under pre-production. He is also an Associate Producer of the project "Anastacia", in partnership with Elixir Productions (USA) and Aventura Produções (Brazil), a movie with an A-list international cast and director that is being negotiated with a major Hollywood studio.
He began his career in 1994 as a musician when he was only 18 years old. At 21, Rafael was already a seasoned professional, producing international concerts with famous orchestras like the Royal Concertgebouw Amsterdam, operas, and ballets.
At 23, he became a curator for music, fine arts, performing arts, and cinema in Banco do Brasil Cultural Center, one of the most prestigious cultural spaces in the world. Between 2000 and 2004, Rafael promoted, sponsored, or produced some of the most relevant cultural projects in Brazil. Nine of them were listed among the "100 Best Cultural Projects of the Decade" by "Bravo!", the most important art magazine in the country.
Rafael also produced one of the most comprehensive cultural projects in Latin America, "Banco do Brasil Cultural Circuit", an itinerary action that spanned over 55 cities. He coordinated cultural sponsorships in Banco do Brasil - one of the five largest banks in Latin America - and started working as a senior advisor for marketing and advertising.
Rafael has promoted hundreds of events ranging from a few hundred to 180,000 people. In his career, Rafael produced over 8 thousand artistic presentations and hundreds of live marketing actions that reached over 3 million people.
After an 18-month passage by the Investor Relations department, where he crafted his knowledge in fundraising and forged bonds with investors, Rafael decided to create, in 2011, his own production and live marketing company, Wikishows. He permanently moved away from Banco do Brasil in 2012.
As CEO and Creative Director of Wikishows, Rafael has carried out live marketing actions for companies such as Walmart, Baidu, SEBRAE, Banco do Brasil, Mapfre Insurances, Caixa Econômica Federal, Ambev, Fundação Alphaville, Estácio, and many others. He also produced shows with artists like John Pizzarelli and famous Brazilian singer Lulu Santos.
In 2012 Rafael created, developed, and produced the web reality show “Like a Boss” for SEBRAE (Brazilian's Entrepreneurship Entity). This branded content experience and its live marketing strategy resulted in one trending topic on Twitter and a flashmob with more than 3 thousand people. Rafael also wrote and directed branded contents for Ambev, Petrobras, and the Alphaville Foundation.
Rafael found some time to dedicate himself to another passion: politics. He was a regional director of the Green Party and has collaborated, as an advertiser and speechwriter, on two Presidential campaigns and one congressional dispute. He created a web reality show about the backstage of a political campaign. From this experience, Rafael took the inspiration to write his original series "The Green Grass of the Hill", a political series that is being negotiated with production companies in Brazil and abroad.
Rafael studies scriptwriting since 1997, but it took 20 years to take the leap of faith and dedicate himself to screenwriting. He was one of the 40 writers selected by award-winning author Aguinaldo Silva, among almost 600 postulants, for his Master Class of Soap-Operas, held in 2016. Rafael was publicly praised by Aguinaldo, and from that moment on his career in the movie industry has begun. Rafael has conducted business with players like Rede Globo (the third-largest TV in the world), Indiana Produções, Aventura Produções, Floresta Produções (Sony local partner), Paris Entertainment (Globalgate local partner), and others.
He currently writes and pre-produces a musical scheduled to debut in theaters in 2021. He also co-writes and produces the feature "Lumina and the Mistery of the Golden Mountain", with a great Brazilian cast, in negotiation with Warner and Globo Filmes. Rafael wrote and directed the short film “Two Boats”, starring Rainer Cadete, Rocco Pitanga, Paula Jubé, and Fernanda Junqueira, scheduled to premiere in 2020.
