Naked
Out of pure desperation and pressure to be sexually experienced, 17-year-old Alanna meets up with an older boy for sex. However, she soon discovers that her vagina can talk - literally. It has a voice. With the guidance and wisdom from her new sidekick in between her legs, Alanna finds the courage to be truthful and vocal about her own needs and learns to look within herself for her own validation and acceptance.

Born and raised east of Toronto, Canada, Daniela Rojo is a 21 year old woman of Jamaican and Chilean descent, and is an advocate for amplifying female voices. Daniela took up filmmaking as a hobby and passion from as young as 8 years old and later went on to study video design and production at George Brown College in Toronto.
Daniela currently resides in Whitby, Ontario. She believes in bringing awareness to real stories and taboo topics by making them a fantasy world on screen. In her eyes, film is a vehicle for empathy.
I’ve grown up all my life watching movies that celebrate and explore male sexuality, tell male stories, and have a predominantly male cast and crew. As a young woman myself, having mainly only seen women on screen portrayed through the male gaze as the love interest or eye candy to their male counterparts, I, just like Alanna, became very confused as a teenager about what the world expected me to be in order to be admired and loved. That feeling of always being looked at under a microscope, even when you’re alone, is a feeling I’m sure nearly every woman has experienced at one point or another.
I’d like to think of “Naked” as a love letter to all the women out there who just can’t seem to win in a society that was built on their insecurities and lack of self love. I want this film to give clarity to some young, teenage girl out there, and let her know she isn’t alone. While becoming physically naked may be easy, becoming emotionally naked and vulnerable is what will set you free. Even if that means growing a healthier relationship with the way you view your body and your vagina.
