He returns to Brazil after twenty years living in New York City to finalize his first work as a short film director Daily Dose, shot in NYC and post produced in his native city, Rio de Janeiro. Currently writing his first feature film Mr. Correa started his career in dance and theater at the age of 9.At 18 he moved to NYC after a show tour with the Rio de Janeiro dance troup VATA at Town Hall - NY. Back in Rio he was invited by the artist/poet Mariana Moraes to direct a collective work for the Art Rio 2018 called OV(O)O, the theatrical-dance exhibition was also filmed and is in the process of becoming a short art film. Mr. Correa's Theatrical credits abroad include: "Elysium" (Man) by Gail Miller - NYC & Dublin, "A Chorus Line" (Mark) Marvin Hamlisch - NY, "Penumbra" (Patient) by Rafael Quiles - A Lie in the Mind "(Mike) by Sam Sheppard directed by Edith Meeks - NYC. he has also performed with numerous NYC tap dance companies on venues such as: Lincoln Center Out of Doors, Town Hall, The Duke Theater, Beacon Theater, La MaMa Etc, Symphony Space and the Jacobs Pillows Dance Festival. Stage credits in Brazil include Roney Villela's "Amor Bruxo" (Carmel), "Tip & Tap Rato de Sapatos" (Tap) by Rolando Tasso, "Gasparzinho" (Gasparzinho) by Fábio Pillar and André Dias and integrated dance companies Thalhe by Jorge Texeira and VATA by Valeria Pinheiro and Tania Nardini. He studies with big names in drama such as Salem Ludwig, Susan Batson, Miller Lide, Earl Hyman & Arthur French. Attended four years of performing arts at HB Studio, received a scholarship from Steps On Broadway and completed courses at the New York Film Academy and Black Nexxus.
