Fuori Mercato – Como Independent Film Festival is here to support emerging and independent filmmakers. Our goal is to give them a chance to showcase their films, far from usual blockbusters and made up with independent spirit.

From April 11th to 14th, four wonderful days full of feature films, documentaries and short films screened inside our beautiful historical theatre in Como.

Fuori Mercato is a free and independent festival dedicated to free and independent cinematography.

Feature Films
International narrative films, with running time over 70 minutes.

Documentaries
International documentaries, with running time over 70 minutes.

Medium-length films
International medium-lenght films of any genre, narrative or documentary, with running time between 15 and 70 minutes.

Short Films
International short films of any genre, narrative or documentary, with running time less than 15 minutes.

Best Documentary

Best Medium-length FIlm
400$ prize and a pre-agreement for future screenings inside our historical theatre.

Best Short Film
200$ prize and a pre-agreement for future screenings inside our historical theatre.

Rules & Terms

-Streaming links (Vimeo or others) may be sent to the following email address: fuorimercato.arcixanadu@outlook.it
-Foreign language films must be subtitled in Italian.
-Upon private notification of selection to Fuori Mercato - Como Independent Film Festival, the selected filmmaker must respond promptly to agree to allow their work to participate at the festival. If notification does not occur within a reasonable amount of time, invitation/selection will be nullified.
-Once the selected filmmaker has agreed to screen at the festival, Fuori Mercato - Como Independent Film Festival reserves the right to screen said film up to 2-3 times during the festival.
-Filmmakers must have secured clearance to use all copyrighted or trademarked material (music, images, text sources, etc).
-Shipping costs for all the materials used during the screening are charged on the selected filmmakers.
-The films will be chosen by our judges.
