Fascinated by the rugged Montana landscape and the harsh lifestyle that ranching entails, Cynthia along with her team spent the past year documenting one elderly cattle rancher. John Hoiland is a living icon of a time when ranching thrived.
Raised north of Boston, Cynthia discovered early on a love for photography and film. Her interest is stories that lay bare the diversity of people's experiences and celebrated their triumphs. Not content just to admire she obtained a BA in film and Photography and in 2021 will finish her MFA in Film/Science at Montana State University in Bozeman. Her current work is on An Aging Rancher on the West Boulder in Montana. "Where Home Has Always Been" and " I Am Still Here" is being seen at film festival around the country. Her new release is "For Love of the Land" has just been released in 2021.
