A Hidden Place
One by one, people from different walks of life visit a landromat. They speak to an unseen man behind the camera, revealing to him their personal desires and wishes. To each new person, the unseen man says, “Give me your I.D. or I will not accept you!” Some people get their wishes fulfilled, some don’t -- all at the unseen man’s whim and mercy. Finally, he reveals himself and shuts off the camera he has used to record the seekers. As he leaves the laundromat, we see the people again, now left spinning in washing machines.
