Experiencing Interruptions?

The Blue Whitetail

"In bowhunting you kill your subject matter. In photography...you capture it"
-Christopher Nakis

On the surface, black and white photography and bowhunting are two seemingly opposite exercises. However, they share strikingly similar philosophies, traditions and techniques. At their most basic, both photography and hunting require the ability to see and the ability to anticipate what may be seen. The principles and strategies of these two philosophically different, yet parallel activities, are explored by artist and hunter Christopher Nakis who ‘hunts’ with his camera to capture stunning black and white images, ranging from the everyday to the obscure.
