*****ENTRY FEE IS ONLY $5***** AUDIENCE WATCHES FREE*****
Our festival is for short films that are 15 minutes or less, produced anywhere in the world. We accept Documentaries, Narratives, Animation, Commercials, PSAs. , Web Series, and Trailers. (Sorry, no music videos). Award certificates are presented in 15 categories. This is our 15th year, and our 25th festival. We are an IMDB qualifying festival, and usually show between 25-35 films.
Our film festival will be presented two ways. It can be viewed online, and at a no-frills "live" program at the Satellite Beach Public Library. The online version will enable you and you guests to watch the festival FREE from the comfort, (and safety), of your own home. You will be invited to introduce your film by way of a pre-recorded video that you send us, and the online version will also have an "Award Show", which adds to the fun.
As for our “live show” at the library, we are able to keep our entry fee low, and offer FREE ADMISSION to our audience by conducting a bare bones, “no frills” festival. There are no seminars or parties. We simply set up a few chairs, turn on the projector, and watch some great films. To be honest, audience attendance at the library is usually pretty small, but they always go away happy and impressed with the films that we show.
We are a small festival, but we take our selection process very seriously. We have a panel of five judges who grade each entry on a point system, scoring its technical merits, acting, script, and audience appeal. Equal and fair consideration is given to each entry regardless of where you live or the size of your budget. Films with solid stories and good audio have the best chance of being selected. Films with the highest scores become our "Official Selections", and will be shown “live” at the library, and online. The online show can be viewed on our website FREE for 2 weeks, anytime 24/7, by all filmmakers and their guests. You can also share the viewing link on your facebook page. Of course you retain all rights to your film, and we will only show it in the festival. All films will be deleted from our video servers immediately after the festival.
Your film MUST be available for both the "live/in person" fest at the library AND the 2-week online version. If you have a problem with us showing your film online, please do NOT enter your film.
Winners will receive an e-certificate, which can be printed at home for your entire cast and crew. You will also receive festival laurels, and a “win” on your existing IMDB page. To keep our entry fees as low as possible, we no longer award trophies, but bragging rights are priceless.
