Adriana Ronquillo positions herself as a Mexican multidisciplinary artists. Whether as an animator or painter, Adriana explores the relation between human beings and their natural environment.
Adriana Ronquillo is a multidisciplinary artist who found her passion for drawing from a very young age. Adriana Currently studying at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) to obtain the Phd, Doctor ́s degree in Visual Arts. She has also studied a Master degree in Hochschule für Künste (HFK) in Germany. In 2015 she became part of the national system of young artists known as National fund for culture and arts (FONCA).
She has made several films including: Mujer Espíritu (2020) Fosca Liebre (2014), Ticho (2017), La llorona (2019) as well as documentaries, T.V. shows and other visual projects. Her work was featured in the CANNES Film Festival in France (2018, 2014) and has received awards: Best shortfilm of the 22º Rencontres du cinema sudamericain de Marsella, France (2020), Best animation Think Forward Film Fest in Venice (2014), the Latin American Eye of the film, and the human rights prize in the film festival in Bolivia (2014), recognized by the Environmental Film Festival in Argentina (FINCA) and Antartica’s International Film Fest (FICAMS). Since 2014 she is a jury in animation festivals and she also gives regular presentations at conferences in Latin America, United States, Europe and Asia. She is currently the director of La Furia Studios a contemporary art studio dedicated to the research and production of images in movement.
